#MFNW. Taken earlier this morning after getting free tickets from #Jackpot Records.
Seriously, I feel blessed living in such an amazing city as Portland, to go to events like these.
I LOVE MY CITY.
I love turning on the TV and seeing movies that are my favorite playing. Some that are currently playing at this moment: Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, the 2005 version with Johnny Depp (ABC Family), The Time Traveller’s Wife (HBO) and The Wedding Planner (Oxygen).

Two years ago, I got my nails did (above) at this wonderful place in downtown Winnipeg. I miss the lady that did my nails :*( In any case, this just reminds me of how I’ll be doing my nails sometime in the Fall.
*Taken April 2010 in Nuestra Cocina, Portland.
Lately, I’ve been craving Sangria from Nuestra Cocina (2135 SE Division Street, Portland). I was fortunate to have my first visit to this amazing restaurant earlier this April during The Bicycle Show when my husband & I met up with some of his friends who came in from NYC. (See: here.)
It’s a cute little place here in Oregon where they have a $12 pitcher of yummy goodness, as you can tell from above. It’s not your everyday, fruity Sangria though — it’s the winey, dark but fresh kind, full of enough spices to make your mouth tingle and your smile a little bit bigger. The pitcher itself gave me four full glasses, and worth every penny. I definitely need to stop by soon to fulfill my craving before summer ends!
Taken from my Aunt’s collection back in the day, here are deadstock vintage OG Ray-Bans. These are all original Bausch & Lomb glasses, not retro models. Many of these styles have been discontinued and are rare to find in the classic colors, lenses and finishes. All are authentic, some still with registration/warranty paper. Models include the Olympic Wayfarer, Blair, Drifter, Caballero, W0925 (Lady Gaga style), and more. If you google around, you’ll see the prices for some of these models (if you can find them) to be upwards of $500.00.
If you’re interested, feel free to e-mail me (saysjanice@gmail.com) for more information.
How amazingly lucky was I to score this beautiful jacket. Picked up last night at the concert after listening to, watching & taking great photos of Washed Out, Phantogram and Ra Ra Riot. To top it off, I had yummy Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough after the show, courtesy of IceCreamMan.com. Oh, what a night.
Thanks for the hook up by the great people who put this collaboration together — @NikeSportswear x @Koifusionpdx. You made the first day of #MFNW a great time for me. I’ll say it again — I love Portland. xo
What you really want is happiness. You might believe that a fat bank account will get you there, but that’s false. Happy people are happy rich or poor, unhappy people are unhappy rich or poor. Money simply masks your real being by giving you activities to occupy your mind. Don’t fool yourself, recession or not, your true wealth comes from your heart and is always only there.

@2 years ago with 1 noteSince I finished the wedding scrapbook (above), it’s time for me to channel my creative juices into something else. Back to Michaels I go to gather some ideas for something amazing.
One day, I’m going to own a beautiful craft + scrapbook room, full of stamps, ink pads, specialty paper, adorable stickers, ribbons, markers, envelopes… I could go on and on, but I won’t. Scrap booking not only puts my mind at ease, but keeps me busy and lets my creativity run wild. If it’s not already obvious enough, this scrapbook I’m doing is courtesy of one of the best days of my life — my wedding day.
Yup — it’s wedding scrapbook time for me.
